Tomorrow's Thanksgiving.
Here's your reminder that nobody's looking at your baseboards for cleanliness. Clean only one bathroom for all the guests to use and lock the rest of the bathroom doors so they can't be used. One less side dish and dessert is JUST FINE. And everyone, male and female, can help with the dishes.
Here's your permission to do whatever it is that you and your kids need to manage the day. Set those boundaries. It's okay if your kids need a "time-out" from all the relatives touching them, the noises and smells, and the anxiety of a day without routine. Lock yourself and your kid in a room away from everyone. Let them play, nap, or stim. Everyone will feel much better.
Here's your blessing for the day: may the food be delicious; your fellowship, sweet; and your festivities, fun.
Happy Thanksgiving!

If you're planning to decorate for Christmas this weekend, here's a fun paint chip activity everyone can do. You could even have everyone at Thanksgiving dinner make one, add their name, and create a small village.
This leftover turkey soup recipe is one of our favorites. We eat it year round. (I add 1 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of pepper, and an extra bay leaf to give it a bit more flavor.)

P.S. We purchased this card games book for our oldest son so we can play more games during the holidays.
